Currently you have 5 seconds to reenter a reive before being locked out. If you are locked out you can't reenter for 10 whole minutes. And there is no clear border of how far away is too far away, with the added detriment of the acceptable area being far too small with no safe spaces to rest or heal from. Add to that that many of the enemies have area of effect knock back attacks that will knock you out of the battlefield, which guarantees you will be kicked out by the time limit.

Something needs to be done about this.
A) Make the time limit to reenter much shorter, like 1 minute or so. That way at least getting knocked out won't make you stop playing the game for 10 minutes.

B) Make the timer before you are kicked out much longer, such as 30 seconds. I have been kicked out of reives many times without even knowing I'd left the area because the 5 second notices go by before the chat log even loads.

C) Make the battle area the entire clearing, so that you've got space to actually fight the battle, instead of being kicked out for crossing an invisible that that's far too close to the target, and completely arbitrary.

D) Make the lockout for leaving only apply to that particular battle, so we can run off to a different fight if we accidentally leave, instead of having to leave the game entirely for 1/6 of an hour.

Any of those would work. I'd prefer C or B, but any of them would be fair.

It sucks accidentally stumbling into a Rieve without knowing and there's nobody there but you. If you walk out of the Rieve you're locked out from joining another for 10min even though you may have not wanted to join that particular Rieve but you passed into it by accident on your way to another Rieve further down the path

You're not always near a zone. 10 minutes is way too long of a cooldown for an encounter that will MAYBE last 3. I'd even propose an E-option of "Don't sign me up for a Rieve unless I actually perform an action on a battlefield target". Randomly running past a lair rieve otw to a colonization one just to get locked out for 10mins is stupid.

Both reives and Voidwatch need a little extension to the amount of time they give you.

The confrontation status that was on things like FoV elite training NMs gave you I think 10 or 15 seconds before giving you the boot, I have no idea why later events became 5 seconds.
