Today, when i first participated in Besieged after the Adoulin-Update, i felt really surprised that the Intro-Cutscene was missing. And i called a GM. He told me the Besieged-Intro was removed with the Update.
I'm still asking myself: "WTH is SE thinking? m>(>.<)<m
The Intro-CS was part of Besieged since its release with Treasures of Aht Urhgan.
It pushed me in the right feeling to serve the Empress and to defend Al Zahbi. It was the starting signal to fight the Beastmen Hordes and to get them out of Al Zahbi. She gave me joy. And not only me... .
What was so bad about the Besieged Intro that they had to abolish it?

I would like to call out for every Veteran of the old 75 cap days to join me in my complain at SE about it. If i would just know if they are still out there. And if they care.

The least i wanted to do, is to make my displeasure about the abolished Besieged-Intro known. Thanks.

It was a way to keep people from crashing, they said they'd put it back when it was fixed.

The cutscene that displays at the beginning of Besieged battles has been temporarily deactivated to alleviate Playstation 2 version freezing issues.
Characters will also not be automatically placed at the start of battle.
* This cutscene will not appear for any clients.
* The cutscene is scheduled to be restored in the near future when other solutions can be implemented.

Thanks alot Raksha. I didn't know that. I hope they fix it soon.

I don't want people to get their game crashed. I just wonder that it still happens after all the years.
I remember people shouting after their Xbox'es crashed at/close to the end of besieged years ago. That this problem still exists... . or again. o.o,

I would be perfectly happy if they never turned them back on.

Then you may don't understand how important such little details and habits can be for the people. They are what makes the game unique and loved. Especially for the long time players, who got used to it and like it. (meeow~!)
I hope that most of the people don't think the same as you. ;)
The cutscene always is a part of the game. Even if noone should take a game too serious, people like me would terribly miss something, would it stay disabled.
And this little "somethings" can play a major role in peoples decision to stay or leave, should such changes occur too often.

In all honesty I would rather them put in the ability to skip it if you wish, I myself hate having to watch it every single time, no matter how like you have played a game eventually it gets old watching the same CS over and over, and in reality, I find that it gets worse the longer you play because you have seen it even more.
