Backstory: Everything worked fine pre-3/27/13 update.

After the update I had to re-configure my gamepad(wireless), no big deal right? I open up "FFXIPadConfig.exe" and start customizing my layout. To my surprise, it registers the left and right triggers for camera control instead of the right analog stick.

I uninstalled and re-installed drivers for both the wireless receiver and controller. I tried multiple controllers, also. I do not have any wired controllers to test, but I do not think that'll solve my problem.

Anyway, I jury-rigged a setup that allows me to use the left analog for both regular and camera movement. I would appreciate any insight on how to map the camera controls to the right analog stick.

Thanks for taking the time to read.

We apologize that you seem to be having issues with your controller. We have some suggestions to resolve this issue.

- We strongly suggest using a genuine Xbox360 controller as these are compatible with the Windows Operating System.
- You may want to try plugging the controller into different ports (both front and back) to see if one of them recognizes the controller and allows you to use it within the game.
- Make sure the drivers for the controller are fully up to date from the manufacturer's website.
- Disable all other device drivers, leaving the mouse, keyboard, and your controller as the only devices active.
- If you have a specialized gaming keyboard you may want to try using a different keyboard to be sure there are no conflicts with that device.
- Try unplugging all other devices and only plugging in the mouse, keyboard, and your controller.
- Make sure Windows has been fully update from the Microsoft/Windows Update website.

Well I had the same issue back in the day and for some reason it's FFXI that doesn't see the triggers nor the right stick. The best answer I would tell you is use the listed controllers they have. Because this has been an issue since 2006.
