Is there a known Issue with Square Enix Accounts not recognizing Square Enix Members account info atm? I am at present having it as an issue, and from the comments on the faq page http://na.square-enix.com/go/article/view/blog/258415/registering_for_square_enix_members_faq was going to order the expac today but yea...

I'm having the same issue, I have a Square-Enix ID which I've been using to log into FFXI for a long time now. I can log into the Account Management System just fine, and managed to log in to Playonline through the congestion. I know I'm not typo-ing my account information at store.na.square-enix.com because I can copy-paste that information into my SE Account Management system and log in just fine.

The account should be linked, and my SEID is hardly new, having registered it back when Security Tokens were first issued.

Do you think it has anything to do with the new cell phone token software being introduced? They just made those active last night. If a code you was using (RARE) was reissued it's original connection is reset. This would make your token useless (invalid). I can really see this happening because the token keys and the software may have the same function but they aren't directly connected to each others creation process.
It's like this you have one company issuing the hardware and another issuing the software codes. If these aren't managed right then a few codes might mistakenly be reissued or partially invalidated. There have been past screw unexpected screw ups that caused issues so I thought I'd mention this rare possibility.
This is only my opinion. I think it's worth investigating. After all, they did just announce this new token software for smart phones. They also clearly stated the codes would become active this (I don't know exact time) week. I think it was last night they where unlocked.
Anyway, the second part is your SE members at least mine isn't the same account and member ID. I have a separate password then my management ID. So I think you'll need to merge them or create a new account somehow.
