View Full Version : SOA Registration code issue (NOT THE BONUS ITEM CODE ISSUE)

when pre-ordering the SOA ultimate package we are not being provided actual CD/Registration codes for the SOA expansion. is this intentional, because it is causing alot of confusion.
in another thread a rep confirmed that these codes are not being automatically applied to our accounts. if they are not being automatically applied, and not being provided at the time of purchase, then how are we supposed to obtain our registration codes?
ive seen this asked several times now, and it has some how been skipped over on each support response.

also, the third party vendor that SE is using to sell these downloads is not providing any legitimate customer support beyond a copy and pasted response that has absolutely nothing to do with what you've asked. see email example below.
i apologise for the following email, however your response did not match my issue.......... my issue was:
i was never sent my order confirmation email from your
company.
i was provided order number XXXXXXXXXXX from square enix, and
xxxxxxxxxxx was the order number on my bank statement where your company
took the funds for a purchace from my account.
your online order finder shows BOTH of these as " Non-existent orders"
hopefully i get more than a copy and paste response this time....
i need my order confirmation as well as download instructions resent, the download in question will not be available untill 3/26/2013.

see? the response is obviously a generic copy and paste, that has absolutely NOTHING to do with what your asking.
i still cant wrap my head arround why SE, a massive corporation, would pimp this xpac out to a completely unknown vendor for distribution before giving it to a tried tested and proven powerhouse for digital game sales like steam, which i might add is far superior to this craptacular digital river company.

You get the codes when the game is released, or at least thats what my E-mail from Amazon said when I bought it.

This happened to me when I had tried to purchase copies of just the epansion pack directly from the Square-Enix store. I got confirmation emails for the Xbox copies and the one ultimate pc download I had purchased. However, I got nothing regarding the expansion packs, the hold on my account for that order disappeared within less than 24 hours. I don't know if I need to try to re-order the expansion packs or if I am still going to get them since I can't find a place/link at the Square-Enix store to check my order history.
Edit: Let me rephrase, I can't seem to find a place to view my entire order history, not the information on a single order.

but the worst part is i cant get any info about if the order is still valid because all i get are automated responses with no info that i requested
like
is my order valid? yes or no
if i reorder will i get charged twice? yes or no
if the above is yes when will the charges get taken for my purchase?
i have tried to contact them 3 times and all i get is the exact message that hideka got
come on this is no way to treat a paying customer
digitalriver is a company that houses many, many files, I have downloaded my copies of windows from digital river, however the SoA is not (officially) available for download yet, and registration codes are not yet made available, curently as it stands you should receive an email with instructions on the 26th or 27th of march, however they might already have a link ready and live, tho it would require you to know how they named the expansion, none the less you cannot register you SoA even if you would receive your code as the system is not yet configured to accept those codes

thats true but most of the people he already have there special item codes but i havent even had the money taken out of my account yet and its 10 days away

You know, it just occured to me but the issue may be in that it is so close to release and the online shops are being flooded with orders. Just sucks not knowing for sure what's happening with the orders.

The codes for registration will be provided when the expansion has been released.
Unfortunately, purchases made on the SQUARE ENIX Store are handled by Digital River. For more information on the distribution of the game client and the registration codes you will need to contact them.

Thank you vrey much for the phone number to contact them with - I just want to make sure my order for the expansions were in fact placed before trying to place them again and end up with more copies than I need.
