SoA - How to get it?

My version of FFXI has been installed using Steam. Will I be able to apply the SoA update using the SE Online Store PC version digital download or will I need to purchase something through the Steam environment?

SE is always VERY confusing regarding how to purchase and install this game. It would be really nice to have a very comprehensive FAQ released in these forums outlining how to get S0A for PC (Disk & Steam), XBox and PS2 users by market (NA, EU, JP, etc). With the update less than 2 weeks away, there is no reason this could not be published NOW so people will be informed and prepared.
