Magic skill-ups

Why is it that you can skill parry without parrying, shield without blocking, and evasion without evading but it is nearly impossible to skill magic (especially summoning) by actually casting? I have stood in abyssea with summoning skill at 329, BEW pitaru effect on, and constantly casting. Do you know what i got in the 30 minutes my food lasted? TWO SKILL-UPS! I shouldn't have to get a skill-up earring or run an illegal bot to skill summoning magic. I'm not asking for something that would give any idiot capped magic, but at least be reasonable.

Summoning skills up faster if you are using your BP's on appropriate level targets. Cast/release is not meant to be the primary means for skilling up.

If you are actively using your avatars in something like besieged (Bosses, to a certain point) or abyssea xp parties, it will skill fairly steady. Alternatively, you could go somewhere like Dangruf Wahdi and do the top level GoV mobs (crabs/monkeys can give good skills to 95 or so, higher if you have the patience).

actually the fastest way to skill SMN using BP is to do those tier 1 Abyssea VNMs. Some of them will basically die in 1 BP and it'll typically takes you 30-40sec just to 'heal' to find the next one. I find this out last year when I got stuck for 2+hr couldn't turn my clear into colorful.
