Apologies if this has been addressed before but I'd like to find out if Seekers of Adoulin will be available for download on Steam and if there will be a different release date for that format.

The latest official response so far was this post:

Unfortunatly they are working on getting it distributed through steam. I'm not sure why they have not done this sooner because of 6 million users on Steam and I'm guessing out of that many gamers using Steam, alot must have it.

I would like to see an official word on the preorder status of SoA on steam because I have the base game on there and know that if its not a download through the Pol Client after log in, then it must absolutly be bought through steam.

Community rep please let us know something about preorders on Steam soon as you can, its already march 4th, with only days to release.

Do I need to buy the game twice if I have two computers, but only one POL account? Normally this is all tied to registration code, but if I can't install the game on an additional device because it won't let me download....

This is where something like Steam would come in handy.

Also let those of us in Europe with American accounts know how to go about purchasing the correct version for our accounts (EU CD Keys don't work on US POL accounts - I've tried)!

You only need 2 codes if you have 2 different POL accounts, if you are just playing one account on 2 different computers, then no

Im guessing you mean you have two POL accounts but both are linked to your one Square enix account.

With Steam you will still have to purchase one key for each of your POL accounts, even if you have more then onen POL account linked to the same Square Enix Account. I have two accounts connected to my Square Enix Account and it will require the purchase of two keys, one for each of my POL accounts.

As far as Steam goes, where this comes in handy is that you can download the base game from Steam without having an actual physical copy of a CD or DVD onto as many computers as you wish. I beleive Steam's version of FFXI is both EU and NA all in one download and this wouldnt be the first time I have seen this with other online games on Steam and I beleive this because I noticed that the version of POL and FFXI on steam has EU files as well as US files (i.e. EU Tools folder and US Tools folder), so I'm educatingly guessing that it is both US and EU as far as the download copy. I can also launch POL from both my laptop and desktop without having the Steam client running on both of them, by hitting the executable, which allows me to use both accounts at same time without having two Steams UI's up at the same time, which it wont let have two Steam UI's up at a time.

If we cannot get SoA on Steam, since its a physical copy expansion and not a POL downloaded update, then keys wont do any good without the base software on Steam, because Steam does not have a feature to allow you to update your games yourself with say physical copies bought in a store somewhere else. You would be trying to add a expansion onto something thats already been coded with the Steam UI. Or..... I could be wong on this part, only because it doesnt mess with the updates that POL does, so you might be able to technically add the expansion to the game somehow and hope Steam doesnt try to mess with it as if its some update to POL from POL, but thats a far shot and dont want you to get your hopes up without getting official word on how this new expnasion installs. I personally am going to wait until this expnasion is released on Steam before buying to avoid any unessasary reinstalls.
