Trying to purchase Adoulin...

My POL Account is a US one I've had since before the release of FFXI in Europe (Imported back when the game had its US release).

I've just tried to buy the US expansion from the official Square Enix store, however, when signing up for an account - there are a limited number of countries to select from, and the UK/GB isn't one of them.

Any ideas how I go about getting the US expansion while in the UK?

According to something I read on BG from somebody in your same boat who found a solution; Amazon.com works if you're a little tricky:


The only thing Amazon verifies is the zip code and name, not the address, so you can insert your own address, but instead of your zip code, look up a zip code in a random state and enter that as your state and zip code. They don't verify that the zip code is the same as the card holder, they just verify the street name, city and name.

Obviously purchasing the game somehow without using the zip code of Elvis's grave and the surrounding environs is the better option, but I wanted to put this out there for folks who are getting desperate.

My problem comes when I need to add a new Debit/Credit Card to my Amazon US account - the billing address obviously has to match the address my card is registered to; somehow I don't think my bank will pass a charge on my card billed to a very incorrect post/zip code (seeing as ours use letters, not just numbers :p)

I'll give it another shot, see if I can figure it out.
