Hello, I am not a new playing but completely new to the blu job and the current tier of content. I have tried to do some research on my own and it has gotten me pretty far. I just have a few questions.
1. Subjobs ; what are all the subjobs that are needed? I have read about dnc, war, and rdm. However I really do not enjoy rdm so I am focusing on that one last I have dnc up and almost done with war.
2. Gear ; Now I have read that around level 75 is when you need to start focusing on gear for abyssea, however I have read the aurore gear is kind of a "newb spotter". What kind of gear should I be looking out for or trying to obtain once I hit that level?
Thank you for any and all help!

Generally, you'll want Dancer for making !!'s appear in Dynamis, Warrior for times when damage is the priority, Red Mage for killing stuff with Charged Whisker or soloing level 75 content, and Ninja for niche situations when Utsesumi is desperately needed.

Certain pieces of Aurore, such as the legs, aren't that bad as stop-gap pieces until you can afford or obtain something better. At 3% Haste, they're the same as the one TP option Blue Mage had at 75 and they're cheaper than dirt a hobo pooped in.
Other pieces, such as the hands, are even worse than other cheap options such as NQ Dusk Gloves. Coincidentally, HQ Dusk Gloves are very cheap and will probably be in your TP set for a long time until you find something better.
I'm not sure what to recommend specifically because I don't know if you have to pick stuff out of dumpsters or if you can afford to actually buy decent stuff. This guide lists some ideal sets that might give you an idea what to work towards or emulate with cheaper options. Just don't do everything in the same stuff and you'll do okay as long as your equipment at least makes sense, even if it's pretty bad compared to the ideal options. Make a set for hitting stuff with your sword, make a set for each weaponskill, make at least one set for physical blue magic, etc.
