So you convert and your HP is higher than you max MP. What happens to all that MP? Apparently you threw it on the ground.
What happens when DRKs use Drain II and they get more HP than they have room for? Do they throw it on the ground? No, they just add it on top of their HP as a nifty little buff.
We could really use that extra MP that we don't get from convert as a temporary MP pool, much like a DRK can do with HP.
It would only last for a minute. It wouldn't adjust your Max MP, it would just overfill it.
It would be lovely for Chain spell. It would give a RDMs a good reason to want a Mythic.
We've all asked for this before. Please like if you would like it.

Why not just have Convert be percentage-based?
i.e. 100% HP, 7% MP converts into 7% HP, 100% MP.

How about you play Tarutaru instead of some inferior race, then your HP/MP will be basically the same.

Even a taru can get use out of the adjustment if they have some HP gear. I would assume you would have some of that since it would be useful for your miniscule HP pool.

this would not want me to dump 350mil on a convert macro piece.

It may not make it worth 300+ Mil, but it would make it less of a waste.

Now that you mention it...
They'll be adding it to Geo, just watch.

They'll call it something original like NotConvert or Convert II
this would not want me to dump 350mil on a convert macro piece.
You wouldn't dump it for the Convert Augment; you'd dump it for the 30 M.Acc, +Dmg to Death Blossom, AND the Convert Augment if they made this adjustment. I have 1500+ HP as an Elvaan RDM, I wouldn't mind working on a Mythic for RDM if Convert gave me an additional 3000MP of temporary MP for a minute, on a 8~10 minute recast.

You know what's sad? This probably isn't far off the mark lol.
I want to believe they'll give me a reason to not hang up the chappeau just yet, but at this rate the glass is looking half full of lead, acid, parasites etc.

I know what you mean, I'm tired of RDM gonads being used as a speed bag by all the other mage jobs.
I understand a "jack of all trades, master of none" argument and I kind of liked that element of rdm design from the get go. But the thing was rdm used to be a "very close 2nd" in whatever role and because of their expanded roles availibility was so wide they were desireable as a sub for sometimes 2 party roles, allowing you to do more unconventional builds, like rdm as the only caster, etc. Granted, that wasn't really fair to the rdm who generally had to work his ass off 3 times as hard as the rest of the pt to keep up, while the rest of the pt just mails it in.
So any viable suggestion like this I wholeheartedly approve of. To make it better for rdm though I would suggest this be the result of a job trait you gain automatically-at level 60. That way if SE ever does do the lvl 100 that has been discussed noone /rdm would have access to it. I want rdms to be desired by groups because they are looking for a good rdm, not because there are no sch, whm or blu available.

Yep. Basically, anything that is an "RDM fix" has to be 50+, or else it's not a fix, it's a buff for anyone else.

The other side of that coin, which is finally paying off, is that anything that is a general buff for just about anything is a buff for RDM.
IE: 1Hander adjustment, Healing adjustment, elemental magic adjustment.
I'm the first to complain about the state of RDM, but I find myself complaining less and less. The weird part is that it looks like they did almost nothing specific to RDM to bring about that change. There are still tweaks, like this one, that I would like very much for job diversity, but also because it rewards players that really want to top out their favorite job. My favorite job is RDM, obviously, and I still want to be rewarded for making nice things, such as my Mythic.
I look forward to seeing what Rune Fencer and Geomancer will play out as. There is a very real possibility that we will get new and interesting toys from either of them or the more likely possibility that both of their existences will reignite my impassioned ranting.
