As mentioned in the other thread that's just like this one, the community team is/was helping with FFXIV's media tour so they've had their hands full. Fortunately, they just put up the promised information about the enmity system.

lol all they did with that enmity post was tell us all what we (Should) already know about enmity, and tell us that they really have no solid plans in place to fix the issues, just things that they're thinking of doing. i would have much rathered something more substantial. however i will admit i'm mildly surprised that SE came out and gave us the specifics of a mechanic in one of their games. apparently they no longer feel the need to be cryptic. i doubt that they will ever be as forthcoming with their internal workings as wow is, but hey its a start.

This expansion is just a month away and we have had literally no new information about it since it was announced besides some lore and the geomancer info they updated not too long ago. We know OF some of the things they are adding but barely any details. And from what I've seen the only dev updates we've gotten aren't really related to the expansion itself and even then its just them telling us what they don't have plans to add or fix.
There is very little hype for this expansion compared to the first four especially this close to its release

Looking at today's screenshots of town... maybe they should push the release date back a bit...

They look fine to me. Not that pushing the date back "a bit" would result in any geometeric changes to the areas.

Maybe it's the textures, maybe it's the small size of the pictures, or perhaps the bird's-eye views that players won't experience themselves, but the new pics of Adoulin feel... older than they should. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8uxzJMVPDJ4)
We're losing PS2 support for something that looks like FMV from a PS1 game?
Thankfully the shots on the teaser site are more flattering.

We're not losing PS2 support and even if we did, changes to graphics are unlikely, and even if they came, changes to design are even less unlikely.

Technically, we're not losing PS2 support, because it's still being supported in Japan. They can't do anything revolutionary with the graphics because it still has to be compatible. Well, they could just give the PC version a visual makeover while maintaining the same area collision but that would be a miracle that I wouldn't expect to ever happen. =\

He was correct in saying we are losing PS2 support which means they are in the process of doing so not that they have already dropped it completely and totally.

He didn't say that we're losing PS2 support, he said we're losing PS2 support for what he considers to be shoddy graphics of the new expansion. And that is not the case, as that expansion does in fact still support the PS2.
