SE Devs, question and request regarding the REPAIR job ability on Puppetmaster.
I am currently unfamiliar with any equipment in the game that reduces the "REPAIR" recast timer for the Puppetmaster job, similar to the "REWARD"job ability timer reduction affiliated with some in-game equipment exclusive to the Beastmaster job, for example: Khimaira bonnet.
Is it even remotely possible to add equipment to the game for the sole purpose of reducing the "REPAIR" job ability for the Puppetmaster?
I don't care to usually draw distinctions but accordingly:
BST Job ability "Reward"s recast timer starts at:1min. 30 seconds, with maximum merit points the recast timer can be reduced to 1min. 15 seconds and using in-game equipment with the ability to further reduce the recast timer (i.e. Bison Warbonnet/ Brave's Warbonnet/Khimaira Bonnet/Stout Bonnet and Monster Trousers +2) can bring the recast timer down to :45 seconds between "REWARDS".
PUP Job ability "Repair"s recast timer starts at: 3minutes, with maximum merit points the recast timer can be reduced to 2min. 30 seconds.
Considering the fact that both the use of pet food and the use of automaton oils generate similar effects upon usage with an activated pet (i.e. a potency of regeneration effect in addition to the potency of the hit points added, depending upon the level of the food / oil used); the lack of including equipment in the game to provide the Puppetmaster the option of utilizing such equipment to decrease the recast timer really doesn't level the playing field between the only two jobs in the game that primarily utilize pet jobs in a similar game-play fashion. (Granted DRG and SMN, are also considered pet jobs, the similarities between BST and PUP overlap on numerous and consistent levels).
In closing, please consider adding "some" equipment to the game exclusive to the Puppetmaster job for the sole purpose of at least providing some relief when it comes to the recast timer associated with keeping our automatons alive. In testing the use of attachments (such as the Auto-repair kit I/II) even with the updates to increase the regeneration values depending upon the number of light maneuvers active at the time, is indeed a benefit, unfortunately the regeneration value is not strong enough to offset the damage the automaton ends up incurring during events where HNMs use strong AoE attacks or extremely potent AoE spells, not to mention normal physical hits--and spamming Light Maneuvers will eventually lead to "overloading", since the job ability "Cool Down" is only usable once every five minutes; it because more than burdensome in the heat of battle--without relying upon items such as "Dawn Mulsims" to maintain the pet's health.
I believe the inclusion of equipment that will allow the Puppetmaster to repair his/her automaton more often, something similar to what has been provided to the Beastmaster job, would not be game breaking by any means--(maxed merits, taken into consideration) and will ultimately enhance this jobs automaton (pet) survivability outside of Abyssea (not relying on Atmas--a push your team appears to focused heavily on, since the release of VoidWatch).
Thanks for listening. Hope to hear some feed back soon.
