Steps:
1. I Popped Pantagruel with the oversized sock and my party member proc'd red and killed him I recieved no key item.
2.Knowing it is not 100% we did this again.... 5 times... no key item
3. we exited abyssea and I logged out and back in.... we Popped 2 more times proccing red... no key item.
4. All members in my party were able to receive the key item besides me.
5. Contacted a GM and was sent here... I understand proccing red is not 100% drop... but 7 consecutive pops all proc'd red... and not double proc'd???
6. GM informed me... other players have also reported not being able to get the KI severed gigas collar, but the development team has throughly checked Pantagruel and found no issues.
7. Obviously.... the development team needs to go back and look some more, because if multiple people are reporting this, there is obviously an issue
8. and yes I checked key items and did not have the key item. We also went to briarus pop site to be sure I could not pop him as I had the other two key items in my list

it should be 100% with red (never heard of anyone not getting it after red unless they had already)

I know.... which is why I thought maybe my key item inventory was just not showing it for some reason.... but no. It won't let me pop him and it won't give me KI. I've logged out... ran check files which said no errors found.... got on mule and came back on main... went to other abyssea zones and came back and tried...... no matter what I do it will not give me the severed gigas collar..... out of ideas of what to try.....anyone else have any thoughts or ideas??

Red is not 100%. This has been confirmed many times before.

I must just be really lucky then, coz I have never not got a KI from red proc (unless someone double proc or I had it already)

I have never confirmed that and still choose not to believe it. And even if it was, it's very unlikely that it would happen this many times in a row to the OP. If everything the OP has reported checks out, this sounds like a proper bug.

As true as this may be it still doesn't explain the fact that we fought the NM like 6 times with red procs and she still could not receive the item.

Hey Fallen! Had to reinstall FFXI and my disc is unreadable so I had to order a new one off ebay. Should be here in a few days.
