Is it true that Seekers of Adoulin won't be able to be played with Windows XP?

lol itd be interesting if that was the case, but I'm sure this wont be. It would be truly weird for an expansion to change the specs of the rest of the game....

However to confuse this further, XP is outdated and I believe support for XP is ending April 2014, so it is possible in a sense that XP won't be listed on the box or official specs, BUT I anticipate ffxi to work just fine on XP.....whether its on the box, website or not.

The requirements are no different than the rest of the game. they are not doing anything to prevent XP compatibility.

the requirements listed here, says minimum is Windows Vista/7/8, recommends 7

Ultimately, that just means they only provide technical support to players attempting to play on Windows 6.x. After all, WINE isn't listed either.

At the end of the day, they're still packing in the DirectX 8 executable.

In fact, FF11 runs better on XP than it does on Vista, 7 or 8.
