Reading guides and wiki on Blue Mages I came across a statement regarding the levels of our spells which i dont quite understand.
"The Blue Magic skill level of each spell is equal to the Blue Magic Skill cap at the level at which the spell is learned."
What exactly does this mean? Also If I learn a level 1 Blue Mage spell at level 11 does that mean the spell is harder to get because the spell would be level 11 or after you obtain it it becomes level 11? For example a WHM has several cures ( cure 1, cure 2) and so on. But we only get say Pollen, but does it get stronger as we get higher? PLease help me understand. Thanks guys...

Say for example you're at lvl 5 and your capped skill lvl is say 20 but the spell you wanna learn requires at least 25 levels in skill and lets go even further and say lvl 6 capped skill is 25 blue magic skill. Then that means you have to level your main job level to lvl 6 and then cap your blue magic skill until you can reach 25 skill to even attempt at learning said spell.
That's essentially what it means.

How can I tell what skill level is needed for each of our spells?

In game not much going for you there BUT there is this handy online resource: http://173.192.108.24/~tforum/blu/BLUMain.html
Details all the spells currently available and methods and camps to get them. You can also cheat skill requirements by wearing skill that increases blue magic skill. The only other way to improve your learn rate is to get the Af1 gloves so def do what u can to get those when you are at the appropriate level.
The person who keeps the website up to date still does however there hasn't been much in the way of BLU spells being added so that's why at the bottom you see the 2011 update that added those spells.
To answer you're secondary question no Pollen doesnt get stronger but as you level more and more, cures become available to learn the next cure spell you get is wild carrot and the one after that is magic fruit followed by Plenilune Embrace and White Wind.
EDIT: Well actually pollen does get a little bit stronger but i think the cure amount itself has a hard cap for that particular spell IIRC as a general mechanic of heals on BLU tho its modded by MND and cure potency gear and Healing magic Skill (not Blue magic skill)
Also the hunting grounds web page doesn't cover the Traits you can make w/ whichever combination of spells as thoroughly as some of the wikis do, so if you're wondering what spells make what traits do a wiki search for the trait, almost all the Job Trait wiki pages I've seen have a sub section regarding what combo of blue spells are used to make the trait in question
