I though of this earlier today, I know SE announced that the Seeker's expansion for the PC version will be download only and not a physical disk but does the digital download actually download any files that you wouldn't normally be able to download through a regular update? I know(believe) the physical disks installed a portion of data that couldn't be installed without third-party means.

Pretty much my question boils down too, I mostly play on the PC but I'll do some fooling around on the 360 every now and again; would I be able to buy a 360 seeker's edition, register the SoA code, and be able to access the content on my PC version? I don't think this is possible with the current expansion packs because those are physical disks, not downloadable.

I think it's more an issue of volume rather than difference. I would have said that add-ons only do reskins of existing content, but then Scars of Abyssea included Abyssea - Misareaux, a re-skin of a CoP area in an add-on that didn't require CoP to be installed.

So yeah: S-E will make you buy both the PC and Xbox versions of Adoulin to play on both platforms. Either Adoulin will be too big to follow the add-on model, or there was something else about the add-on model that didn't make it profitable enough for S-E's needs.
