I know you will have digital download, but will the new expansion, or the new ultimate collection, be avalable for PC on an actual disk? (sry if this was asked before.)

No, it will not.

By the way, those "hard disks" are called DVDs. an actual "hard disk" is the disk in your computer that stores a lot more information.

Honestly, it really doesn't matter much. It's not like you would get an elaborate manual like the original game ( the expansions didn't have much in the way of documentation), so there isn't much value in the physical copy. If you want, you can just burn a DVD of it probably. Because the registration code is consumed on use, it doesn't have any resale value either.

I no quite a few ppl that would actualy like a physical copy.So do I. But I also 'no' quite a few people who don't care about physical copies becuase there is no benefit to one other than possibly collectibility, I don't really see the reason myself. Almost all PC games are distributed digitally today.

You can't download what hasn't been written yet. You won't be able to download anything until the launch date.

I have quite a few PC games, single games and series. And not one is a digital download. While i can understand part of a companies reason for doing a digital only download, it also makes it much less likely that i will ever buy/play the game, in general. I have always prefered having the physical disk in hand.

Most of the stores I visit don't sell any PC games any more other than $10 casual games for people who don't know how to download stuff from the internet, Blizzard games, and The Sims. The rest of what uesd to be the PC section is just full of game time cards/facebook credits/other game currency cards, etc. Even world of warcraft is now being sold as a little card in the store which is a code to download the game, instead of selling it in a box. Oh yeah, and a digital download is better for the environment too.

Better get used to digital downloads, they're here to stay. Why do you hate them so much? It's a lot easier and more convenient. The only advantage of a disc is not waiting for the download, but that's just a one time thing. You don't need the disc in the drive, so you certainly don't need it "in" or "on" hand ever. I can understand having a physical item for the sake of collection, but if that's not why, just download the game, burn it onto a disc, and there you go- you have a physical copy.

Digital downloads make me MORE likely to buy games, not less, because it's much more convenient and easy (this is a double edge sword, but hey, nothing's perfect)

Well i admit i do like collecting. But I'm also very careful with my things to make sure they are here for ages to come. The idea of not having it physically is just off putting. Your also screwed if a comp isn't connected to the Internet.
I still have my old pc copy of 2007 vanadiel collection. As well as the Wotg expansion disk. I actually used it recently to reinstall it on a comp. But that aside, i would like an updated version.

If they only offer the digital DL then i would only be inclined to get that, and only that. If it were a disk, i would probably try for the full package.

Problem solved.

I still have all the original discs for the original game and every expansion (the individual discs, not the collection- I didn't want to essnetially buy the rest of the game over again just to get a single disc). It's nice to have, but if I could download it all, I would just as soon do that because it's less hassle.

Not having a connection to the internet is pretty much a nonissue in most places in this day and age. The only time you're not likely to have it is if the power has gone out- and how often does that happen right at the moment you're just dying to install a new downloaded game? If you're on a laptop, just go to any of the gazillion establishments in the world that have free wifi.

Edit: sorry, I suppose it's pointless to go on about this- but you do have your answer. No, there will be no disc for the PC version.

Ill start working on getting my nintendo and snes games on a flash drive right away. Cab always use that to make another cartridge right?

Pretty often actually. Its not only having internet, but the quality of it, your comp, and your lines. Example being, the apt I'm in was poorly maintained over the years by the slumlord. The lines in this building are turning to dust. For a few years my internet connection would go out every three hours, and sometimes randomly on top of that. (Makes this game rly hard to play) One time i had to reinstall the game, it had a full update that took several hours. And when my connection went out, it would lose the whole update and i would have to start completely over. Needless to say, it did not go well. - Point being, you cant always rely on the fact that everyone is perfectly set up.

True, but it is a shame. Really would have liked one'
