The TP Move Grim Glower from the Virulent Peiste in Bedeaux[S] wears off for one game tick and then re-applies itself without the mob performing the TP move. On the second report of the effect wearing, it does not wear at all. The 3rd report seems to be correct.

Was it intended that this petrification effect be 3x normal in duration, effectively getting re-applied twice, automatically?

It's a move that puts him in a sight-based "petrification stance." As long as his eyes are glowing, he'll keep petrifying you if you keep looking at him. If you want to prevent this (and all their other sight-based moves), Blind them. Blind Bolts work well as well.

Byrth: Thanks for the tip. I was a RNG 99 at the time, loaded with blind bolts too. Yes, I do recall that the mob's eyes were glowing brightly.

Qeepel: as much as I would prefer to have avoided that particular mob (I took a wrong turn) I might just risk some more experience testing Byrth's advice - but I'll take out the Magnes Quadav first!

I do have a suggestion: Perhaps a minor edit to the name of "Grim Glower" to be "Grim Glow-er" or "Grim Glow'er" so as to give a clue that the job ability is related to the "glow" of the eyes and not the "glower" expression that you're going to have as a result of being repeatedly and instantly petrified without warning.

If I have further difficulty, I'll bring it to the forum. Otherwise, thank you very much for the support.

I dunno, I think the hints are good enough already :p
