Does anyone know how to change or get rid of your "MEMBERS' password? The extra password you type BEFORE your playonline info? Just started my account up again, no clue what mine was, theres no support anywhere for this... Just wasting my money now..

That password is local only, not something on an S-E server anywhere.

Spare yourself the headaches and leave it blank.

As klunky a solution as this is, uninstalling and reinstalling the game should fix that.

You might be able to get away with just uninstalling and reinstalling PlayOnline Viewer while leaving FFXI and the expansions untouched. I've never tried it myself, but it's worth a shot before committing yourself to an 8-hour update download.

If I go to the uninstall in the playonline, then reinstall, thats the 8 hour one?

If uninstalling and reinstalling PlayOnline Viewer by itself is going to be enough, that's like a 10-45 minute update download, depending on what version you're installing. It's having to uninstall and reinstall all of FFXI that's best left downloading overnight.

This may be a Member password issue at its root. The member password is an extra security feature that is only saved on your system. if you are unable to remember your member password, simply uninstall and re-install the PlayOnline Viewer; as we are unable to reset it remotely.
