Platform: PC and Xbox306
ISP: Comcast
Type of Internet Connection: Cable
Internet Connection Speed: 1.5 Mbps
Date & Time: Regulary for the past 2 months
Frequency: Almost Always
Character Name: Kio
Race: Tarutaru
World: Alexander
Main Job: Doesn't Matter
Support Job: Doesn't Matter
Area and Coordinates: Lower and Upper Jueno Headed towards the battle field just after the corridor leading from the Mog House
Party or Solo: Either
NPC Name: N/A
Monster Name: N/A
Steps:
1. Every Time I enter my Mog House in Jueno and exit through Upper or Lower Jueno I start to run towards the zone exit my system (both) freezes for about a second then I continue to run
2. Then to my Left (if your headed towards the fields outside the city zones) past the corridor but before the AH in Lower Jeuno or before the Synergy furnances in Upper Jueno I can see a Moogle it will stay there untargeted indefinatly
3. If I target the moogle it will disapear
4. If I am quick to target and hit the A button on my controller as I use both for PC and Xbox 360 I get the Mog House Moogle Menu
5. I can change jobs in Lower and Upper Jueno while NOT in my MH access my inventory I did this once to amuse my friends I changed jobs while they stood next to me in Lower Jueno my gear would change as I changed jobs.
6.My friends said they didnt see the moogle when they tried and they also don't get an annoying 1-2 second freeze after zoning that I get every time I zone. I am unsure if this pause is the reason and I still get access to information and code I shouldn't outside the Mog House. I thought I would bring this to your attention, its a nice amusement but I assume its not meant to there. I've looked for it in every MH exit in the game and its only those two zones that I can see and if I'm quick access the moogle.

I've tried talking to my Moogle many times to remind him to stay inside where its safe and keep my safe and rent a room tidy but he just doesnt get it. I would hate to think he's selling my items to passers by since he sometimes brings my safe out with him! I would hate to report him to the M.H.M.U He and I have been a team for 7 years. I've always tried to treat him decently getting him what he asked and even helped him and his girlfriend out when they were in trouble with Riko! Can you talk to my dear friend for me and see if he just misses me when I leave the Mog House?

Hello Subdragon,

We have received the results from Development and they have determined that this may be a technical issue. If you are still experiencing this in-game freeze, please contact our information center at http://support.na.square-enix.com > FINAL FANTASY XI > Contact. In the mean time, I will be moving this thread to "Technical Support" so we can receive some additional feedback or suggestions.

Thank you,

SubDragon,

We can offer a few suggestions if you are experiencing any of the following:
• Have difficulty connecting to or staying connected to the PlayOnline Viewer or FINAL FANTASY XI
• Crash, receive a black screen error, or get stuck at the downloading data screen upon clicking your character handle or character select button
• See your the lag meter turn red
• Encounter increased lag or connection problems near crowed areas
• Have trouble accessing specific zone(s)
• Have trouble logging in with specific character(s)
• Receive any of these errors: 3113, 3100, 4001, 1160

Suggestions:
13. Check to make sure you have properly configured or turned off any of the following: Routers, Proxy Servers, NAT Servers, Internet Connection Sharing services.
14. If you are using any kind of software/hardware Internet Sharing service/device the following ports need INCOMING access to your PC: TCP 1024 - 65535, UDP 53, and 50000 - 65535. Also, check to make sure that the ports mentioned are not blocked by your ISP for INCOMING access. Proper configuration of any of the above items mentioned should be done by following the instructions in the software/hardware manual or calling the manufacturer's technical support.
15. If you are using a router, and have configured that router for port forwarding, temporarily bypass that router and connect directly to the modem.

Please take note of the following:
• Proxy servers, and satellite connections are not supported and do not work correctly with FINAL FANTASY XI.
• Your router may require that you use a PC to configure your network settings. For more information about how to configure your network settings, please refer to the instruction manual that came with your router or contact the manufacturer directly.
• If your Internet Service Provider (ISP) specifies a DNS server, you need to make sure to configure your settings to allow packets to pass through UDP Port 53 as well. For more information, please refer to the instruction manual for your router or the information provided by your ISP.

I can confirm this oddity happening to me, and at least one friend of mine for quite a long while indeed.

I have not been able to actually 'talk' to the moogle (yet), though, as it disappears so quickly for me. I haven't really bothered trouble-shooting it, either, but I highly doubt it has anything to do with the connection of the player to the server(s) per se...

Not playing very actively for the time being, but I will keep this in mind when I do.

I see the moogle in Upper Jeuno all the time and if I'm quick enough i can bring up the mog house menu, although it doesn't actually function for me other than being able to see my items.

if all kinds of people have seen it and we obviously are not all same isp or same platforms or same isp speeds even.. probably just some random memory bug i find it quite funny everytime i run by went to ah and back it was up was able to take multiple screen shots of it... at least its not interfering with gameplay and is harmless like the upside down (dieing) fish in the fisherman's guild fish tank in windhurst LOL

the moogle apears on all platforms, and is a glitch thats been around for years, apparently some GMs have warned players about using these moogles (thats seen randomly in a few zone) as it can be seen as an exploit if used

so let me get this straight, a big in the game that can be exploited and the GMs are just warning people rather than reporting it to the devs? sounds to me like those GMs really want people to use it anyway so they can ban them :/

The moogle in Upper Jeuno seems to bring up the same menu as Nomad Moogles do; no Storage or Layout or anything, but Mog Safe, Mog Locker, Mog Satchel, Mog Sack, Delivery Box, and Job Change are all there if I'm remembering correctly from the last time it happened to me.

Additionally, I've had one start spawning in Windurst Waters [S] in the water behind Wenonah, C.A.. I've never been able to get to this one in time to do anything with it, and indeed it may even be out of conversation range since it's in the water.
