Help with Bastok Mission 5-1 Darkness Rising

I would like to complete this mission and I would like to know if my friends from Windurst would be able to help me complete it. I believe I read online that only people with the Bastok mission could fight the boss... I would like to know if that is true or not.

I found out that all 3 nations have this quest so anybody that is on this quest or has completed it can help me.
