View Full Version : Increasing "Resist" job traits

Heyo, I've been thinking again...

You know how it seems like when you cast a debuff on a mob a bunch of times, it starts resisting it more each time you cast it?
It would be great if jobs with resist traits, could do the same thing, and when you zone it would go back to its default value.

For example, Red Mage has Resist Petrify. So say you were a RDM camping cockatrices for a few hours, and you kept getting petrified, (or attempted petrify), well then your resist petrify trait would allow for progressively increased petrify resist rates, on top of its default amount of resist. Then when you warp out of the area or get KO'd, then it resets back to its default amount of resist.

And then your subjob's resist traits could increase as well, but half as fast.

OR
Maybe if the character has a resist trait, and they have a resist spell such as barparlyze or barparalyzra on them, then the effectiveness of that resist spell can keep going up as long as you're in that zone and not KO'd. This would be a double good thing, as those bar-spells currently don't feel like they're doing anything, ever. :p
