please stop the insanity! Countless mobs are being needlessly slaughtered to ascertain such simple information which is available for other weapons right on the equipment list!!

I've been focusing on hobs, but the number of sample hits you need is high, and flaws w/ mobs linking and mixing up which hit go w/ which mob and determining the prey def and level are all very tedious (but possible).

My best estimate is that Hobs attack is ~930. However, I know my numbers are not as clean as I'd like, and this estimate isn't based on a sound method.

Anyway, this information would mean alot to the player community and be very helpful developing strategies for play.

Hey Xilk, do you know why a jugpet's damage drops off considerably as the enemy level rises? I've tried boosting Attack with rolls/gear, but that doesn't seem to make much difference. Is it their "weapon" DMG? A lack of STR?

I second more information being shown, SE...

I post my pet testing data on a thread on ZAM Forums.
I have large amounts of data there. However, this is exactly what I tested most recently.

We found the max damage a pet can do long ago. However, I finally spent enough time collecting parsed attack data to find the highest level mob, where the pdif term appears to be capped. (Level 61 sand lizard in kuftal tunnel BTW For gorefang hobs that is).

However, I was not able to cap it on level 62 sand lizards no matter how much pet attack was added. I was able to add what is probably +200 attack, and it made no difference.

However, adding attack vs higher level targets does make a difference.

Byrth is the best one w/ mechanics in the thread, had a good idea.

Mobs appear to have a +.05 / level to their effective ratio.
This is likely true for pets.

Which means that PvP is likely the best avenue left to continue testing.since level can remain static while def can be adjusted.

As soon as I find someone willing to spend some time in Brenner on test server w/ me I'll continue.
Starting by seeing if pets can still hit a ratio of 4 when there is not a huge level difference.

I'm not asking for all pet stats, but I,d really like to know attack values.it is important for comparing pet use in different situations and for dividing pet strategies.

Also, from what I've seen, the damage rating, if such a term can really apply to mobs, is around 109 for hobs, and star is probably around 130.

So, no, they are not lacking. It seems to be a level correction function.
