Its pretty convenient that we can change our home nation, so that we can enjoy other nation quest and storyline
what I wanna know is, if I start in Bastok, clear it storyline, then move to the other two storyline, then moving back again to Bastok (if it doable), will I lost all of my rank? or I get to keep my rank 10

You keep the rank. Any conquest points you accumulate with windy though are locked when switching to another nation but will be available when you go back.

Just to add to what's been said, you will keep your outpost warps as well. They changed this recently (as in, a few years ago).

And thank altana for that. You can utilize it to obtain the outpost warps for the zones closest to other nations, which almost never fall under foreign control.

It only took something between 1-2M Gil and some running around to get Sartabarta for Bastok by myself. ^^;
That was quite a while before the change...

The only starter area from another nation I managed to grab before they changed it was Ronfaure while I was from Windurst. I only saw something like that happen once over the... 3-4 years? i played prior to the change. I felt really cool for having it.

Bastok was easy to get when the SMN burn hype started. Since Bastok commonly had the least population, it was almost constantly owned by San d'Oria or Windurst and rarely by Bastok itself. Good times.

It should have been. For some reason, I just never saw it happen even during the astralburn days on my server.

Yeah, it was quite rare to see outside of the Korroloka thing happening.
I was obviously following the situation a lot after I had put some time and money into it, looking at people at the areas and so, and I could see Bastok influence go up rather steadily while I was doing what I did.
So if one really wants those areas, I'd suggest this, if it was still the time before 'OPs transferring', ha! It was fun, though, and I'm not sad about them changing the system. I did get lots of fun tells cause after doing it all, I parked myself at the OP with a search comment stating the 'what it took to get it'. Not to brag, but just to say why it happened!
I probably didn't even use the most effective items. I did try to research it a bit, trying other items and see how much it will take to make the influence rise, but I couldn't obviously make up tables about it because it takes a lot to see a change.
And now I'm just rambling so blubb!
