Puppetmasters deal daily with the problem of switching their automaton to fit the need of the situation. Sometimes we want them ranged, while others nuking or healing. Each of these require the stripping of attachments, placing the new body pieces in and re-adding the attachments.

This is cumbersome, and for the fast pace world of FFXI, not realistic.

While having quick 'sets' that PUP's can select would be idle, I do have an alternative solution.

Already /equip head 'Patin taj 2' easily allows for macroing in changing of head pieces. Why not give /petEquip head 'Soulsoother Head', /petEquip slot1 'Vivi-Valve', Also /petequip clear will remove all attachments

This way, SE doesn't have to do any changing or creating anything special. Just a quick shortcut command to change the gear.

Please like if you agree and comment if you have any additional realists and easily implemented ideas for this.

This has always been a very good idea, I'd happily devote 2-3 macro pallets to set up my most used puppets (curing, nuking, valor taking, valor dd, sharpshot, dyna farming).

Another idea that's been around is having the heads remember their previous attachments and frame (to circumnavigate the problem of different elemental capacities).

I hadnt thought of this idea for attachments myself, i had considered 3-5 sets like this be applied to blu, but this would be nice for pup too! Just pre-saved setups for the puppet would be nice, i dunno if macro-swap speeds would be good but being able to go into the menu and not need to set each attachment manually, that would be good yes!

You can macro attachments?
