As many players might know, there are a bunch of quests already that hand out experience points already, such as Fields of Valor pages, Dominion Ops, and BCNM fights like "The Mothercrystals" currently. These however, have all been pretty battle related.
Then there are quests that aren't strictly battle related, like the Tutorial NPC and the new Seekers of Aldouin prequesting.
The SoA prequesting brings out the thought, is Seekers going to hand out experience for certain quests as well? This conclusion seems to be a reasonable one, and would be a nice outcome.
Quests giving out experience points rewards tend to favor helping new players in my opinion - old players have many of the quests already done, and getting higher levels seems to require much more experience points then quests could possibly give, slanting the benefit towards newer players with low level jobs.
On that note, I'd like to formally request this going forward:
Seekers of Aldouin should have many quests that have an experience points reward component.
Older quests that are non-repeatable should have an experience points reward applied to them when appropriate.
Older quests tend to be a bit low on the reward side except for a handful with high fame requirements that players usually spam a repeatable quest for reputation so they can do the worthwhile quests. Wouldn't it be nice if certain quests with a low value reward also got a small experience points reward to boost their value to new players?
I realize the second of these two suggestions would take a lot of valuable dev time and work. Most of that time would be spend identifying quests that should give out experience, and possibly how much it should give out. As such, I think we should identify as many quests as possible that could use a retroactive change.
