As the update notes reflected, it was only changed in Salvage II. Outside of it is it - for now - still the same.

They did imply that the chance is just postponed though, so I think we can expect to see it changed in the next update.

Yep, plow through all the stuff you used to use it for before the change takes effect everywhere else. I'm not one to wax nostalgic about old times in FFXI, unless it involves missing a friend I used to play with. But I do have a feeling if I'm still here two+ years from now I'll be saying "The Days of Embrava" a lot.
