Inspired by the talk of races changes and character re-customization, I had an idea I wanted to humbly submit.

It'd be nice, in my opinion, if there were a way, via quest or trial, to learn the "fighting style" of another race and/or gender and thus use their battle animations in place of our race's normal ones.

It just seems like it'd be a fun option to have. It'd be a way for people to further customize their characters, and would add to the role-playing element for those who are into that. It'd be something to do at least. Perhaps people could spend time collecting all the styles like they do job emotes.

Anyway, just an idea I hope people will like.

SE doesnt care enough for this game for this to happen, sry /:
If they would there would already have much more needed changes happened until now.

I'd be very much in favor of this. As a hume PLD, I'd like to have the Elvaan type sword and greatsword stances.

I would love to see this implemented. There are certain stances I would love to replace on my Elvaan, namely the Great Sword stance I find somewhat silly.

But I'd be happy if my left heel actually touched the ground when I'm standing still.

This would be extremely intensive. You can't just port the fighting styles, because the stances are based on the skeleton of the race/NPC. They'd have to make separate, completely new animations in most cases.

While it would be interesting, wouldn't you rather they focus their development efforts on new content than extremely labor intensive cosmetic things?

Sylow is right. While I would love to see this, I'd rather the development team focus on new content and fixing things first.

Remind me to kick you in the shin next time I see you, Sylow. ;_;

If it were a really simple thing, I'd be all for it. But this would likely require an overhaul of how the system handles battle animations.

This is something to this day which fucking still blows me how SE missed this one simple thing. The heel that hangs off the ground even when you're just standing in an idle position has annoyed the crap out of my for ages. lol

I do believe those were made using a model viewer, which does not require a valid FF11 account to be used. The images could easily have been made by someone who does not have, or have ever had a FF11/SE account, and therefore it would not be sufficient proof of a current FF11 player having used third party tools.

Just sayin'.
