i like the rdm ability its nice will be a great Addition to my rdm! yea i solo on it. bst could also be useful if i get adds or links and i know im gonna die! while not very often could happen. and whm i wonder if it includes charm and doom >.> don't like or dislike wars . blm could be good in some instances. pld will be interesting i think. brd could be really good depending on seekers. rng is sweet and sch is awesome. i like the jobs that i use. as i dont really play the other jobs i don't have a opinion on them.

Regarding the Roadmap

I apologize for the delays with the currently released roadmap. There are two reasons for this.

The first reason is that since the schedule was released before the announcement of Seekers of Adoulin, the effects of the development load for the expansion were much larger than anticipated.

The second reason is that the hours needed to work on and discuss all of the forum topics was much greater than we anticipated.

While we looked into a revised version of the roadmap to release, instead of redoing everything that was up until March 2013, we feel it's necessary to take time to build out a proper development plan from next year on, starting with redefining development plans and then deciding on the practical work content so that we do not disappoint all of you.

It's hard for me to ask this, as we've already caused everyone to worry and be inconvenienced, but please give us a bit more time.

There'll be a new roadmap coming with some of there ideas - just give 'em time.

Some ideas that have been implemented into the game have come from the playerbase. Don't be so quick to assume our ideas are terrible.

And according to Mr. Matsui, many of the developers are dedicated fans playing the game. So technically speaking, it is the playerbase running the game. Just... a different kind of playerbase.

According to him, he has yet to beat Maat, which is not confidence inspiring when you think about the fact we bitch about over powered endgame mobs, and he has yet to beat a level 70 limit break quest to even start actually getting good gear and start to see the over powering mobs we want balanced out.

errm it has nothing to do with enfeebles? lol my head hurts trying to figure out what your point on what the new 2 hour and enfeebles have to do with each other.......

and umm yea lol i haven't beat maat? >.> guess i payed Bubbly Bernie to power level me with his 1337 abilites.
also just cause a enfeeble doesn't work on xyz mob. it is wrong why? not everything is always gonna work. i just accept it as is and go with it. everyone has there way of thinking and you have the right to think that way. i on the other hand choose to disagree with your line of reasoning. your not wrong but see it differently.

The new RDM SP is a 100% chance to land your next enfeeble, that has everything to do with Enfeebling, which is why its a problem. The Maat comment was not about you, it was about our new producer, which is in fact who said he plays the game, however has not beaten Maat as of yet.

As for enfeebling not working on certain mobs, thats not the problem, its the problem that the ability we are currently lined up to get has no real potential to be used for anything. Looking at its effects, its Elemental Seal, but they say it isn't, even if its effects are somehow better, we can get 1 really good enfeeble, which enfeebling is pointless on 90% of content now, and the 10% its good for, is the 10% that you would do thats so low level, you land your things without any resistance anyways.

He's also one of the newest additions to the current dev team, so whatever.

I understand that, but at the same time, should we assume he did not play the game before now? If so, does that really make it a good thing?

Not saying it's a good thing, just saying it's a possible explanation. Who here knows how many hours he works a day? Maybe he simply doesn't have the time because he works 12 hours a day.

I understand, I'm not saying its a big thing, just that as Meyi said, the player base is somewhat running the game, just a different kind of player base, and in this case it does kinda seem that way. It makes me wonder though how they fight what they made, and if they actually understand why we hate some of the content so much, or if think its just fine how it is. My point with talking about Maat was that it means that at least for now, our producer seems to have no experience with endgame, which is better than no experience playing the game at all, but it just kinda means that so far as playing the game goes, he has yet to really get to play the parts that we complain about the most about needing changed.

"You" as to mean the DEVs & Community. There's no "i" part of collaborating. We need them and they need us or else this would be to hard for noob players getting into all the expansions they have missed.

To the topic:

I believed the start of FF11 was a learning experience and it still is for some. It forces me to think, explore and get active. There's solo content and group content. I don't want hand-holding but i don't want to be left in the dark either.
MMOs have opened the door to more artistic expression and less self-indulgence about creating a hard game w/o assistance. All games are hard to a point of challenge, when there's always someone to help you, it's done with ease.

Then comes the players to add their two-sense and suggestions. What works and what doesn't, there needs to be a mutual understanding. We all have different situations and the game is continually evolving/ devolving. It doesn't matter, there's always a solid community to back it up and progress though it. Content should be challenging, pure Final Fantasy formula and fun! I want to emphasize on fun!

>As players we can put our mind with the development team about how they work but only with what they have to work with. When some of progress in the game, we feel satisfaction, achieved and relieved. Some of us (like rational human behavior) feel better than others, superior and god-like. It's a mix of emotions and experience that FFxi DEVs gives us and some-what we have to deal with and enjoy the game as it's meant to be enjoyed.

>>A lot of things have been designed to work to the common interest of the entire community without leaning more to one group. If it did, who knows what would happen. There's people who don't know how to deal with human behavior or don't understand others' action behind the character they're using.

old idea :o
My suggestion is adding a personal/ server-wise reputation system- just like the forum: "like"....(well, there's no "unlike" button here).
