Installation not working (steam)

I don't have a test server button.

I installed it into this directory:

G:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ffxi\SquareEnix

In there i have:

\FINAL FANTASY XI
\FINAL FANTASY XI Test Client
\PlayOnlineViewer
\TetraMaster


Any help appreciated.

It's a common Windower error. There are a few ways around it, but nothing pretty yet. The simplest solution is to not use Windower when logging on there.

Alternatively, if you're not a masochist and if you have access to a second account, you should try booting them up simultaneously. The button will occasionally show up on one of the two. It's pretty random, though, so still not guaranteed. Like I said, there is no decent solution out yet.

I do not use Windower. The button just wont show up.

I re-installed the test client and still nothing. I start it with the new link the test client installation created.

"G:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ffxi\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI Test Client\polboot.exe"


Also won't work if i start with the normal shortcut:
G:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ffxi\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\polboot.exe

Is there no one from support that can help me?

I been playing and paying for this game the last 10 years. I feel entitled to get at least some support when i need it. This is really starting to piss me off.

Support will not post in here. Unfortunately I don't know what else can cause this. Maybe do a file check on POL, maybe there's something gone wrong during an update.

Check files updated my 1.18.00n to 1.18.15e. How the eff it never updated my POL client is really strange, but now the test server button works.
