Just wondering about PS2 HDD situation.....

Didn't Sony say they are done supporting the PS2?

If so, why not just let SE release like for $1 a HDD Format disc like the one that came with the original HDD and let people just use it on any HDD?

Say like build a partition on the hard drive for the PS2 to reconize and then just use the rest for what ever.

Maybe like a 250GB harddrive or maybe a portable hard drive for the slim PS2s.

Then maybe we can just hook that up to the PS3 to play it.

Still why isn't FFXI on the Sony store for PS3? :mad:

Problem with PS2 is not just HDD they have now reached the limitations of PS2 memory usage with FFXI. They do little tweaks here and there just to optimize it a bit more but thats it. FFXI is not on Sony store because they would have to recode entire game to play on PS3 and just not worth the money it would cost for them to do that. You will never see FFXI for PS3 so just stop dreaming about it now.

Still why isn't FFXI on the Sony store for PS3? :mad:True, you can use any HDD as long as you have the format disk. But in doing so, you'll have to mod your entire system to ocomidate and they wont like that.

Yeah still dreaming about getting FFXI on PS3, don't know why really. I got it on my PS2, xbox 360 and PC.

Even got the download on my netbook so I can flip it on most places, now if it was only up and running.

I made it years ago. The original was made by a JP player I just converted it to english and added to it and took other stuff off. Now its pretty much all mine its been changed so much from original

I thought that my D&D character sheet conversion of my character for FFXI so I can keep track on what I was synthing and doing was good, but doesn't even compare to your idea.
