Give it a couple more months, maybe then we can be told they pushed it back to mid-2014. Everything else gets delayed, wouldn't surprise me 1 bit.

I just hope when we buy it that it won't take years to actually release via updates. Kinda killed wings of the goddess for me, start enjoying a good story only to have to wait 4-6months for the next 5 missions. Could have atleast given us the options for something like
"Last time on Wings of the Goddess, When hearts were broken should soon be mended, Old allies are now enemy's and mysterious strangers Allies"

Personally i always thought that SE only made the first missions and rushed it so they were making it still with every update.

Except that it has already been added to the opening screen, and the two new jobs to the job list. It's like SS Sandy, we knew it was coming, but we sure didn't like its result.

Well the maps are already done, at least for the major zones. That's how we found out about the expansion before they announced it... because someone found the maps in the dats after the June update I believe. I'm not a computer programmer, but it seems to me that mapping must be one of the more difficult things to do considering all we've gotten since ToAU has been reskinned zones for the most part.

So for the last six months, they should have been mainly working on storyline, job mechanics and new mobs. I would think they'd be pretty close to the end of this cycle, so I'm hopeful that it will be out in early 2013, rather than later. Though this is SE we're talking about and unfortunately, Matsui hasn't been straying far from the Tanaka playbook when it comes to how to manage this game, so I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I think SE just wants to get FFXIV 2.0 up and running then they will start talking. But I really hope they have a lot to say when they do start talking!

I think this is why they rushed XIV. People are always looking for for more information on the way. Just wait until it is ready. I am sure they will show us more information when they have it.

As for the expansion, not sure what more they could tell at this point, that they have not already told... Thus, I expect nothing.

We still don't know exactly how the rune fencer job will operate. We know they'll be rechargable items, but it could be dnc-like timers, or charges like cor/sch, or something new.

They could release storyline teasers. All we know is we're going there to combat the dangerous fiends in the forests and "reclaim the land". They have also released pictures of upcoming armor as teasers. They released the city tier of VW's body/head sets.

A general release period would be nice. We knew WotG's release month a few months before it came out iirc. I think this what what most people want to know. Will it be early, mid, or late 2013 release?
