[FFXI-4002 POL-0250] Connection Lost Every Three Minutes

Hello there I have recently got a new router for my internet (its a NETGEAR D6300) its a router/modem as well.

now because of this I can no longer stay in my FFXI game no longer then 3 minutes or less. its everything stops but i can still run around and i get the DC symbol above my head and then 1 minuter later it black screens me and gives me the FFXI-4002 error and sends me back to playonline.

now i have tried multiple ways to fix this issue like things in this thread: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/threads/28075-Disconnecting-issues-FFXI-4001-POL-0250 but yet nothing has worked for me.

please could i get some assistance in getting this to work if is even possible, thank you.

The symptoms you describing seem like there may be some sort of packet loss between you and the servers. The first things that we would recommend are definitely covered in that previous thread (Port Forwarding, Firewalls, ping tests, etc.). If you've successfully tried all of these solutions with no change then it may be something more serious. The next thing we'd want to check would be updating the firmware on your hybrid modem in case there are any new protocols or administration tools which could alleviate this issue. As a followup question. when you purchased your new network device did you also change your internet service provider? If they have a stricter set of rules on their network it could mean the amount of data leaving your device may be throttled or governed by the device or network.
