I'm getting there errors, I read the forums so please do not just add some botted GM response. I'm feeling like I was ripped off as I only got to play this game for last than a day. I'm almost regretting coming back to this game sadly. So yes please anything that could be done?

I'm getting the same error.
Smooth log in until the point where your character is supposed to load, but it freezes at "downloading data."

Is anything being done about this? I find it funny that after I buy the full version this starts happening. I knew I should of got Torchlight 2 ;_; I'm serious about trying to find a way to get a refund. This is an old, old, old, problem still coming up. What's going to happen? SE blames my ISP and my ISP is probably going to blame SE, it's a lose-lose either way.
How long have you had the problem? About 2 hours of trying to log in here.

I tried logging into my fiances account and it still wouldn't work...
I play 2 accounts, my main can't log in but my mules can. Same thing with my other account all characters but 1 can log in. Incidently, when I zoned both characters into Jugner (s) I have not been able to log back on those 2 characters since.

well i was on mule someone told me when u get retry message on black screen wait a little bit before retrying and that worked for them.. i was on mule logged out and quickly logged on main.. and im back now... maybe its fixed? just thought i would post finding to help others.. see ya
I've been trying to log in for the past 2 hours, last try was 10 mins ago. It would give me error code "FFXI-3100" when it couldn't log into the Lobby Server. This last time though it froze at the version check.
This has happened several times since I started playing 7 years ago, but this time really, really urks me, I don't play nearly as much as I used to, so when this happens anymore, I wish I could find their tech guys and slap the crap out of em. >.>

need to realize that often this is something completely out of SE's control.
Need to run netstat to catch your stalling IP connections, then run tracerts to them to see where they are stalling. It often is a segment between your local ISP segments and the asian segments (ie, a 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc. party having issues).

Thanks for the thread guys.
If we are experiencing a larger spread of an issue like this it may be related to an ISP blocking a specific port on their customer's networks. The primary goal right now would be for everyone to make sure that the suggested range of ports have been opened on your guys's routers. We'd like you to take a look at this Knowledge Base article (http://support.na.square-enix.com/faqarticle.php?kid=12293&id=20&la=1&ret=faq&pv=10&page=0&c=5&sc=39&so=4&q=router) for the Ports which will allow the game to run properly. Once these are forwarded, go ahead and try logging in again. If you are still having an issue, feel free to contact the support center for some technical assistance or even troubleshooting here: http://support.na.square-enix.com/contacttop.php?id=20&la=1
In the meantime, if this hasn't cleared up yet, can you go ahead an list of your Internet Service Providers and your regions to see if this may be related?
