Has the Development Team given up on the Atomos avatar?

This has been bugging me lately. We we're told back at Vanafest 2010 that we would get both Cait Sith and Atomos as a summonable avatar. However, since they were announced no further mention of Atomos being summonable has been seen. We know Cait Sith is still being worked on, but what about Atomos? Is still going to be released as a summon? Is the Development Team working on it? Has it been cancel? if so, for what reason? I am sure I'm not the only one pondering this.

I think its just another of those updates on the long list of things they forgot about, or they just don't regularly update us on like the UI.

LOL, pretty much, don't expect much of anything in the next 6-12 months really. Looking at latest news, adjustments, feedback, etc... things are not looking great. Enjoy the Abyssea content and Neo Dyna before another nerf.

I don't recall Atomos ever being promised as an summonable Avatar, the initial announcement was always just Cait Sith as far as I can remember. Can someone go dig up that old announcement about it?

They were thinking of it as another 2 hours type of summon - you are correct.
