The newest Proof that SE supports RMT companies is the nerfing of blinkers.
With cruor easily made in Abyssea and conversion to gil thru blinkers Rmt sale price on gil went from $40+ a mil to $6.99 a mil now with the removal of a decent way to make gil ingame prices are gonna rise. RMT companies ie.. obviously being there owner is really happy new price example wait for tells fro $brosale in game gonna be $27.99 a mil vs the yesterday price of $6.99 a mil. Funny thing is if SE not the owner of these RMT companies why are you helping them . With gil easily made ingame players for the most part 95% of us laughed at them if not annoyed by there tells cause why would we buy gil when was easy to make or sell gil for that matter, cause if they selling for $6.99 a mil they buying for $1 a mil good job on helping them make money you are a true BrainTrust !!

RMT have absolutely nothing to do with this. Money is still ridiculously easy to make and has always been outside of cruor. RMT are so irrelevant to FFXI right now, I don't see them having any impact at all. Legit players fucked the market harder than RMT ever did with cruor farming.

I don't think the low RMT prices are due to gil being so easy to get alone, but also because you can get so much good stuff without gil now.
Even if gil was cheap from RMT now, that alone doesn't mean a lot. Sure, you can get a million for 6 dollars, but exactly how much can you do with a million gil nowadays? Not nearly as much as you could when one million was 40 dollars from RMTs.
1 million gil is like one pair of average TP gloves. It's not even enough for an average mage staff (chatoyant), and the best staves cost 0 gil up to the geode stage, and even after just the first geode stage, they are better than chatoyant unless you are a sch who rides weatherstorms and obis at all times.

No doubt players are ones that screw up the market prices and RMT's just go along with current price. Mainly i was looking at When gil is readily available and easy to get in game leaves no market for outside companies to profit. Removing blinker exchange is like all past attempts SE has made to regulate RMT/outside company influences which in the end only bolsters their profits while penalizing legit players. Prices may drop item today 5mil new price 1-2mil but gil harder to make so ratio is the same only ones that suffer are ones who make gil honestly. So question is SE not doing this to curve 3rd party companies then why are they doing it. New stuff always high but eventually lowers as ppl figure out where and how to get so just a little confused by reasoning . Now i have a ton of Cruor that is totally useless.

1. Cap out your atmacite.
2. Hope there comes a new reason for Cruor.
3. When steps 1 and 2 are done, remember how important your Alliance Notes and Imperial Standing have become....

It was blinkerspam that dropped the RMT price of gil. With that gone, the ones who make gil honestly (ie, through AH) see the value of their gil rise. RMT profit is irrelevant, what matters is their influence on the game, and that is measured in gil, not $. Obviously they are going to charge more if their major gil source dries up, although currently they are mostly banking on the panic.

I love how Chocobo blinkers got nerfed and AH bots still live on.

speaking of RMT tells, I suggest an option to block all incoming tells if I can't reply! I'm sure if I could reply to an RMT tell they wouldn't /tell me anything ever again. ;p
