I have recently had a lot of frustration in situations where I dont own a certain KI, but want to use the autotranslate for it. At the moment the /translate function only translates physical items, and unless you own the KI already theres no way to get the auto translate for it.
For instance, I was trying to find people who had a Blue Abyssite for OAT GS trial but had already popped my own and so couldnt shout the autotranslate {Blue Abyssite} and since it was in JP prime time I couldnt get any response ><
If you add /translateki "key item name" it would make things so much easier.. or just change the current /translate to include KIs

Just tried with "colorful abyssite", "Colorful Abyssite", "Colorful abyssite", as well as those 3 with "The" and "the" at the start. None of those worked, so unless none of those are right you can't translate a KI you don't have.
I don't think there should be a new command, I think the functionality should be added to /translate.

Or just have the game auto-add a key item you view in your key item list to the list currently stored in auto-translate memory when you hit Tab and navigate to [Key Items].

The OP is talking about for situations where they don't have the key item or a friend who can get the auto-translation and send them a tell so that it loads into their list.

You shouldn't have to add words to the auto translate they should be there already.

In the end I resorted to shouting in what limited JP I know but all I got was a heap of tells back saying that what I was asking for didnt make 100% sense lol.

Absolutely this. For PC client in particular, there is absolutely no reason why all translated terms should not be available at any time.
