View Full Version : Remember the Treant Christmas event?
Remember around the time when FFXI was released in the US and that treant christmas event?
For those who don't, there was 1 treant in each region with, if i remember right, christmas lights on its branches. You could only engage the treant after talking to a moogle to temporarily reduce your lvl to 20. Basically, the entire server would throw bodies at these treants in an effort to kill them. It was awesome.
I was very new to the game at the time, so if anyone can refresh my memory on what the reward for killing these treants was I would appreciate it.

As I only ever do events when someone else wants the stuff from it. No, I don't particularly remember it. lol

I remember the worm event, we had a lvl 75 ranger 2hour on that bastard it and it wouldn't die. it was nuts.

I remember durring the treant event that after what was like 12 hours to trying to kill them, SE announced a maint. because they accidentally made them invincible lol. After the fix, they died much faster.

I was only rdm at the time and I would Chainspell fire that thing and get killed before my chainspell was over -.-

that worm that pops when your doing that find the slips thing? I was not arare you got a chance to kill it

what that the year where you could give the OP warper 10 brilliant snow and he would lift the level restriction on OP warps?
