This is based of the whiny replies of people that seem to think that their topic should be looked at and responded to by the devs more than anything else. I cannot stand the amount of peeps who get up in here and just gripe all day long. I usually only drop in to check out the dev tracker and see what they have to say, but I'll admit, I sometimes get sidetracked by topics that sound interesting...and boy does that ruin my FFXI mood.
<Herp.durr said>: OMGURD, SE DUSN'T LISTIN TO ME! DEY SUCK! I CAN'T BULIEVE I PAY A MUNTHLY FEE FUR A GAME DEY MADE BUT I DUN'T LIKE ALL OF DER DESCISSIONS!
So perhaps in the next update to the forums you could add some sort of tag that shows that devs have read that thread, and that a response is pending.
It's kind of sad that the worst problem in this realm is all the griping up in hurrrrr.

This is teeming with irony ... are you trolling or something?

More likely a responce to the Unaugmented AF2+2 Storage (http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/threads/27718-Unaugmented-AF2-2-Storage) thread.

I would have accepted this at an attempt at irony, but I just don't think you are that clever.

C'mon. Don't be mean.
Yes, it is a response to the Great Un-augmented Relic Storage Gripe of 2012.
No, it was not an attempt at irony. It's really just a buzz kill when I get excited to leave work some days and log on, only to log on here and see all the moaning and groaning.
I can be clever...sometimes...

I guess you want the forums to be nothing more than a series of love letters to the devs.

I didn't say that. Man, you guys are real quick to get defensive up in here. Why we gotta get hostile? Also...where is this irony you speak of? I'm not following...

Waitaminute. Derailed topic is derailed.
Suggestion: A tag that lets forum users know when a topic has been reviewed by the dev team.
Appropriate response from another forum user: I like this idea + reasoning behind agreement of said idea/I don't like this idea + reasoning behind disagreement of said idea.
Given response: OMG ur trollin' in the deep. I don't even like Adele.

there is a difference being "series of love letter" and player asking for "improvment/update...", then act like crybabies that didnt get the toy they wanted ( here: a positive answer)

There's a difference between expressing displeasure at a decision and acting like a crybaby as well.

The forums already have this feature. It's called "reply to thread" then inputting the text "Your concerns are noted. We will inform you when the developers have a reply, please understand that this could take some time."
While I understand that the comreps cannot always give answers to certain concerns without first talking to the dev team about it, I am sure they are autonomous enough to tell us that they intend to bring it up with the developers sometime in the future.

I wont disagree, there were way to many bumps in my opinion, however I still see most of it as having a valid reason for being done.

Surprised we have not got a Dev response to this yet.

I can be clever...sometimes...The moaning and groaning is here because this is the only place to get an actual fix for real and perceived problems with the game. The most valuable function this forum provides is communication between the dev team and the players--not between the players and the other players. I'd rather not have the most valuable and irreplaceable function hindered by some secondary function, like in this case "not killing Emitremmus's buzz"; there are other forums that can fill that function. These forums are by their very nature going to attract contradictory opinions many of which are negative; if you don't enjoy reading those then no one is forcing you to.

Well I wholeheartedly agree that nobody is forcing me to read this. I simply said I don't like to read it because it makes me depressed about my beloved game. Which has never made me gripe to be quite honest. Perhaps I'm just being hopeful that the forums can be an environment of love and affection and harmless arguing. Darn you fatherhood for making me expect everything to be ponies and rainbows!
