Didn't check to see if there was a similar post about this, but since I started skilling up again and using Elshena (+ combat skill gain food), I find myself having enough play time to maybe pop 2-3 of these per skill up session before having to log off. The last serving being used not too far from me logging off.
I never noticed it before, but once I log back in, the food that I assumed would be ready to last the rest of it's 30 minute (or at least 25 mins) duration wears off within the 1st 5 minutes. :( This leads me to assume the food timer is still counting down while logged off, like Abyssea time does. After the 4th time of this happening to me, I was none to happy to lose my expensive delicacies.
It's been too long for me to recall if this has always been the case, but would it break the game if we could retain the food timer while logged off? Just a simple "Pause line of Code" on the countdown timer. While this is not a super high priority compared to some of the other game altering issues on the Devs table, it's rather annoying when a stack of food that cost 100K+ wears off after logging out and returning a few hours later. It's a bit unfair when you don't always have the play time to fully use each serving of the food.
Hope it's not a programming impossibility :)
