Fishing as a new player

I just joined this game and I noticed that I can't catch more than about 10 fish per day. Is it true that this limit is lifted after 2 weeks of playing? Also does it have anything to do with the level of my job (19)? Seems like there is no way to progress my fishing skill if this is all I can do per day.. Thanks for any help. :D

O wow, .... Yeah, peps were creating brand new mules, giving em a lushang, and fishing the rivers dry, s.e. stuck in the little "Skrew you new guy who randomly likes fishing patch " to stop them. Wait a couple weeks and you should be able to jerk in 200 per day... But I suck at fishing, so someone smarter than I may have better words.

I've always been someone who explores the non-combat parts of MMOs right when I start playing, so ya this sucks for me lol. Anyways, thanks for the heads up. I guess 200 a day is OK.

Get a level. You're catching less fish because you're under level 20. Also wait until 2 weeks after the character creation, that too will have you catching less fish.

So... is it "limited until two weeks old AND at least level 20" or "limited until two weeks old OR at least level 20"? I just started again yesterday after years of not playing and I am seriously disappointed. Fishing was one of the things I loved the most about the game... I kind of feel like I'm not getting my money's worth if I can't fish (wait, no, I totally feel like I'm not getting my money's worth if I can't fish... I bought the game thinking I'd be able to fish). So, I'm almost level 19... if it's 20 OR two weeks then I'm fine with that and I'll level tonight. If it's 20 AND two weeks... that's harsh. Also, it's incredibly lame that you don't get any kind of warning to that effect... you can fish a long time thinking you're not catching anything because your skill is low while not knowing you've been limited for being a new player.
