Ancient Currency Icon Update

Hello!

We received some feedback that ancient currency icons looked quite similar to each other, and some mistakes were made when purchasing. Therefore, in the next version update, we will be introducing updated icons for each piece. Here is an example from Bastok:

We feel this should help with quickly distinguishing currency's value.

Perfect. People often misleadingly price 100 versions at the same price as singles and while I have never made the mistake myself I know others who have paid upwards of 800,000 gil for 1 bill. This will help.

Darn, That means I can't use the "Sort By Price" Feature on FFXIAH to find a comprehensive list of my Servers Jackasses anymore, because with this update its significantly unlikely the same old 1byne bill for 800k mistake will be repeated.

on that note, I lost the note I made a couple years ago of the name, but I had an eremite ring up for like 600 about 4-5 years ago, guy bought it for 600k. I sent it back to his DB (-the 600) but after about 6 months of it being unclaimed I took it back. I assume now it wasn't a mistake and the guy just quit-or it was a hacked account that was closed. Sad to see that crap being done.

i Appreciate this idea.while i've never personally accidentally bought a currency at it's wrong price, there are a handful of people on Cerberus that sit around with single bynes or bronzes, marked at 600k+ each.This should put an end to most, if not all of that.

A minor inconvenience that can be fixed by a minor adjustment to 6 icons in a few minutes. I approve.

I don't think it'll put a stop to the problem. If people couldn't be bothered to focus on what they were buying to ensure they were buying exactly what they wanted before, I don't see how NQ/HQ borders is going to suddenly make them take notice. When you're spacing out, you're spacing out. Typically happens when you should be sleeping or they woke up too early and their brain isn't functioning at 100%.


If anything this speeds up buying of currency. You don't have to sit there and read the text like it's the bible. If you need bastok then:

1)look for bastok icon
2)look for correct border color
3)buy
4)defecit ;;

Visual information is processed a lot faster and easier than text, so it'll help.

A good change, but I think Blue border for 100piece instead of white border, and the orange/yellow border for a 10k piece would be an even better choice.
I don't buy dynamis currency but im tired of having scam mules cluttering jeuno wasting my browsing time when im shopping for other things, so if it makes them go away ill be glad to see this update happen.

Yeah, I've never been scammed myself before, but it is a bit irritating that I see this being attempted a lot more often than it should be.

Additionally, currency trading could be fixed.

1) Allow for multiple stacks to be traded for 100s

2) Remove or change the trading 100s for other items.

No @#$% here, i did the mistake of trading him 67x100 byne bill + 33x 1 byne bill by accident, and that ^$%$)@)_ gave me 'Koh-I-Noor' and took 33x 100 byne bill ....

This mistake cost me 33x100 byne bill to waste..."
