I'm not too sure what the protocol is with reviving old threads so I figured i'd start a new one and just link to it and expand a little.

http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/threads/20366-Storing-blue-magic-spell-set

I've been thinking about having spell sets stored recently and can't really see any down side.
It's a pain to have to manually reset your spells when you want to switch from melee > magic based or whatever you want at the time. would it be too much to have something like a macro book, but for blue magic spells. I wouldn't mind the wait after resetting spells if i didn't also have to spend so much time rearanging spells and freeing up blue magic points in the process. A book of just 3 pages would be fine by me.

Ie.
Set 1: Spells for dual wield III, treasure hunter and double attack
Set 2: Spells for magic damage
Set 3: Evasion and proc spells for abby

You can rearange the 3 books whenever you are gonna do something that requires switching spells (VW) and use your 3 books just for your proc spells if you choose.

It would make personally love to be able to start a fight in my proc set, then switch to TH/DD set (with the apropriate wait after switching sets). It would make a big difference to the flow of the job and make switching spells alot less "clunky".

I'm pretty certain that this was included in the massively long thread for the new producer, so with any luck, this will be looked at. Definately needs to be.

ya the concept of "Spell Macros" has been around along time lol, I think even I was behind that sexy idea, that needs to be implemented, I would be completely fine with the 1 min cool down, if we could get spell macros.
