Noticed today while i was fighting some nms, that i would go to cast a spell and it would cancel itself exactly as if i was paralyzed. And it would take a few seconds before i could cast again. The issues being, i wasn't paralyzed. (or at the very least, i was paralyzed with no paralyzed message or icon) I'm not sure if its a bug or I'm missing something or what'

What were the circumstances? Which zone, which fight, which spell? Can you reproduce it? I can't think of many reasons why this would happen, but there are some, like if you run out of MP mid-cast (like getting Aspir'd), or if you start casting Embrava, but then Tabula Rasa wears off. So maybe there's an explanation for it.

It was (blm) in aby altepa fighting againt orthos. I did not run outa of mp, and their was no embrava or tabula rasa.

Now orthos does indeed use an aoe paralyasis effect. Which would point to a posibility i mentioned earlier. Either i was acting para'ed without being para'ed, or i actually was para'ed and the was no message or icon. Or maybe something else, I dont no. That fight was the first time i remember experenceing it in all these years.

Were you using Atma of the Apocalypse? If you got a "quick cast" proc, then it's possible you lost your spell completion in chat log spam because you weren't expecting it to fire off so quickly. I know that when it proc's for me and I want to cast the same spell again I have to hit the macro a time or two before it will start casting (even though there's no true "recast timer").

Thats possible. I wasn't using that atma, but even without it, it does occasionaly happen. I tried looking for that when it was happening but their was to much going on for me to see.
Seeing as this was the only time iv seen it happen in 6 years, I'm not really to worried about it. I was just curios if anyone else noticed such a thing in their play. Cause if not then chances are that I did miss something. (Either that or SE is purposely messing with me lol. But considering they wont give the taru's stools, i might believe it!)

Mmmmm using that shnazzy belt that occasionally quickens spells? And terror? (Can't remember if he can do that to you)?

Could it be you accidently moved without noticing like bumping your controller or something and so casting was interrupted? Maybe that's a dumb assumption but it's the only thing I could think of.

I play with keyboard.
Its not a bad assumption, iv always had concerns with interruption while moving. Example: If i need a spell to go off but accidentally take one step, its always interrupted. But if i run around in large circles a couple of times the spell will always go off. 0.o lol

But it happened several times while i was their. More then i would attribute to accidentally moving.
