Pet th - Just hear me out

People, please if you want to farm and have TH there is what you are supposed to do: mog house->change jobs-> THF.
And if you still insist to have TH on you on BST,well you can always sub THF for it, the reason I say this is because THF is THE farming job in FF, so you either accept it or not but SE wont be giving BSTs pets a higher tier TH, in my opinion pets shouldnt even have TH, but thats just me... We've already had a discussion about our pet traits, you're about 20 pages late. We have base TH, which is more than what you have, and I'm happy with that.

I am just rooting for SE to never give BSTs a higher tier of TH or making it "proc" over time... In my opinion only THF main or sub should give TH traits and yes I am talking about BLU and RNG as well, if this happen all this bs about ppl whining about TH would come to an end.

Wouldn't mind BST pets getting more TH, but the job would need to be crippled in some way to counteract people who behave badly when they play it. For instance, make all mobs that link bolt straight for BST and lengthen snarl timer. Or make pet TH level dependent on a timed JA that can't always be up and which shares a timer with Reward or Snarl or both.

I would agree with the sentiment, however, that if you care about TH'ing something, you best bring a THF anyway.

Note that I didn't claim your opinion was asinine, I only implied that it was so. My little bit of fun on the forums is no reason for BST to be hated, it's more like the community is mad that we can solo better than they can with their super weapons and gear that takes an unreasonable amount of coordination between multiple people to acquire. I can understand that, it's OK to be mad and toss around generalizations that apply to maybe 1% of the BST population because of the comments of one player. I'm sure you've got some booty to plunder, so I'll let you get back to that. Have fun!

I was intrigued by this, so I went and tried Lulu in Abyssea-Kon with RR/MC/DG on efts (because they link). It went ok but I was wondering what atmas you use when you do it. Do you just let Lulu whittle them down or do help out with damage with a dagger AoE ws?

I go with Stronghold, Vissitude and Siren Shadow. Massive Regen with some evasion makes it very hard to kill that rabbit when you're cleaving mobs. When I farmed Despot, I usually have Lulu build up to 100% tp. Then I slap on my Skadi feet, Run past all the dolls along the wall with agro, throw Lulu on one doll, Whirl Claws, Sit back and relax with more Whirl Claws until they're all dead.

SE has already made their position clear on bst and TH. As for the behavior of bsts, its crazy. A friend of mine was farming dyna-quifim the other night on blue mage and a bst followed him around. My friend started on bats, a bst came and camped on him, my friend moved to krakens. The bst followed him to krakens proceeded to try and overtake the camp, my friend went back to bats and the bst returned. Also, please don't tell me this is a new phenomena, SE nerfed leave a long time ago because beastmasters used to drop IT mobs on top of xp parties when the bst wanted to overtake the camp. BST has always been the job for people who didn't want to participate with others.

Dropping ITs on parties was the height of comedy back in the day, it broke up the monotony of running around killing stuff.

Also, I know this may not be standard for everyone, but when I first started the job years ago and asked to join an exp party I was told to fuck off and level something else. So while I do have certain tendencies influenced by early gameplay experiences like refusing to ask for help, and the occasional very intentional NM steal at 1%, I only do it to people who act like jerks to me. I also used to enjoy ruining AB parties and MPKing the old RMT alliances until those shenanigans were patched. Hmm, I might be an asshole. Oh well. :3
