View Full Version : Water textures in Windurst not loading

For some reason, the water texture isn't showing up in Windurst. I'm not entirely sure if it's affecting the whole game or not, but nothing seems to work to fix it.
I've tried loading the game up at the default settings, I've tried all settings full, and I've tried with the background resolution higher than my display resolution. All I see is textures are darker below where the obvious water line is supposed to be, but otherwise the "water" is completely empty.
I don't know if it's relevant, but I'm on Windows 7 x64, NVidia GTX 580.

I did a file check, it found no problems...so it's not a missing texture file.
Does ANYONE know how to fix this? I know it's not that big of a deal, but it is driving me crazy.
Edit: Nevermind, it was Environmental Animations being set to Smooth that was causing the issue. Of all the silly conflicts....

If you can replicated it, can you take some screenshots and post them here? I wanna see.

Well, after many times logging in to try to replicate it, only to find out that it wasn't happening anymore, I found out what REALLY causes it. The water texture "disappears" because of the time of day and the angle that light hits it. When it's night time, or early morning, there is no light hitting the water. Without the light hitting the water, you just see right down through it, without seeing the greenish color and the water rings around things poking up through the water.
It all seems like I was just having perfect timing with logging in while it was dark, and repeated instances convinced me the graphics weren't working. Funny how when I'd changed the Environmental Animation to Normal, I started logging in during the day when the water is visible....
