I like the new large sized on-screen damage display but what I HATE is the fact that if you blink too soon after your WS animation from changing gear your WS damage isn't displayed on screen. If I want to see my WS damage I am forced to make so my damage is displayed in my log, which spams my log with melee hits as well. On a job like THF that's a lot of chat log spam that I don't care about. It would be nice if SE would fix that blinking issue or add separate chat filters for Melee damage and WS damage.

I agree.

Same with SC damage, except it is even worse for that. If you display damage in log but blink out of the WS, the game won't tell you that there even was a SC.

Maybe a workaround for SE would be to not perform the visual "blinks" until after spell/WS/SC animations were complete, even if the gear was changed at the time the player wants it to.

Mmmmm.... Not sure if this relates, but ..... Anyone have any sugestions to get battle log data, quicker? I've learned to stun funny because 9/10 my battle log scroll is waaaay behind, so often I see nawesemo stuns xyz, before the log shows said mob starting their tp, ....like I say I learned to watch for mob animation, vs trust my log, and lol yeah, I'm the Blm that stinks at stunning,...... I've heard it both ways about filters, some say they slow down the log, others insist it helps..... What do other blms filter? (Appoligies if we end up,hijacking this thread)
