I was woundering because land kings pop metheds been changed. I was woundering if would be posable to change spawn conditions for king arthro.

land kings was made much worse than originally. I'd rather they left NM's alone if that's their fix.

High reward ratio for claim (easy even without bots)
1. 99 seals ~20% drop rate.
1. Get random claim ~30% drop rate
2. get random HQ claim 100% drop rate

to

Rare reward ratio for ridiculous 99 KS pop:
1. ~5% drop rate on item 100% on pop for NQ NM
2. ~5% drop rate on HQ pop item and 0% drop rate on belt item
3. Pop HQ ~15% drop rate

So do tell how it's easier now than before.

we did a little faf run last week end:

Why are you even complaining about King Arthro?
This has to be a troll thread. Velocious belt is useless. And you could farm cruor in abyssea and blinker it for gil and buy a speed belt faster than SE would make changes to KA. They aren't even implementing the stuff they said they would months ago on time. Last thing they need is to update content no one even cares about.

Point of note: Last week some friends and I did some Hahavas, one day we went there and knight crabs were sitting up, and we killed KA while waiting for people. Next day we didnt go to Hahava, day after that we went back to do more, and you know what? Knight crabs were up. This was about 36~ hours after we had killed KA, which means they sat up for almost a whole day unkilled.

* BCNM/NQ Wyrm and Behemoth can be duod or even solod. Turtle takes more people, but only because of his regen.
* KS can be obtained by converting 3 of another kind to 1 KS.

Changing the HNM spawn system was a good thing, it has been a warzone for many years and created plenty of animosity. BB belt items could have been handled better, but you can buy the drops for 1-2mil if someone wants to make a few easy gils.

I'm aware, I soloed the Behemoth on BST myself, The convert system was another thing awfully implemented.

"Hey want a way to convert those items that are the same difficulty to get, Well cool!!! Give us 3 and you can have 1. 1:2 would have been much better"

(SCH owns the turtle by the way add a BLM and create a skillchain and you destroy it, Regen V just guarantee's it.)

It didn't really need changing. In changing it, they killed the HQ drop rate and reduced the BCNM one. Making the HQ pop less than 50% was one of the WORST decisions SE made.

I got black belt just helping friends get theirs. Maybe we got lucky, but I got all three for my then lvl 18 MNK under the new system. I would have had zero chance to get them otherwise in the old system, part of the reason I never bothered to level MNK. Its not like we did a ton of runs, and I think 3 or 4 of us ended up with a set, so I'm not sure why that's all bad. Even if KS are hard to come by, Kindred crests certainly are not so one can always convert those.

The drop rate for HQ kings does seem a bit off though considering the drops people want from the HQ mobs are also low drop rates. I think I've personally seen maybe 2/16~18 Nihdogg pops of fafnir and like 0/9~10ish on the HQ turtle. Only did a few behemoths since most people got the BB item from the KSNM easily. BB items aside, we got one E.Body out of all that.

Anyway, I'm in favor of more poppable NMs because given that I'm already sitting in a chair, I don't really want to be also doing nothing in a game for hours on end hoping to claim something after that bore chore.

I want to be able to POP Tia, jorgy, and vitra, no reason other than to be able to fight them w/e I darn well please.... Make the popable versions junk r.e. Idc.... Just wanna fight em some you know.

Anyone who thinks it was a "good" thing either never fought HNM, never tried, or think that in an age where nobody gives a flying @#$% for all but a handful of items that there would still be armies of botters camping them.

Could cruor farm the gil faster than it even takes the thing to spawn, but I guess pointing that out would just make the bad players feel even more bad about being bad because they're bad.

Which happened rarely as soon as the cap went past 75. Even before, Unless you had a bot alliance the spawn area was large enough to get claim, unless you were unlucky.

There's a neat little thing that prevents you from claiming mobs for 1.5-2.5 seconds(ish) after it spawns, so they definitely don't spawn purple.

I have seen Gukumatz pop purple named a few months back when making my Almace, it popped probably about 3~4 yalms in front of me. My guess is its lag if thats the case, not sure though.

I want them to take away the r/e versions and put the sellable versions of the gear back into mobs so they can be camped for gil, or mave the r/e versions synergyable or something. Would be nice to be able to camp king arthro get a vbelt and have it synergy into a sonic belt to make into phos belt or something worthwhile.

I camped/killed world spawn HNMs a good bit, and every one of those events was the most boring, tedious and unfulfilling thing I've ever done in this game.

Also, if no one cares about those NMs and their gear anymore than the HQ drop rate shouldn't matter. :P
