Square Enix,
Please Let the Shaper's Shawl be delivery boxed between the same account. I have spent weeks upon weeks trying to get this item for my crafting mule and come to find out that it cannot be delivery boxed between the same account. for 1 stack of 99 dwarf pugils (4 days total fishing up Cave Cherax) I net roughly 10-12 matsya's at 110 fishing and all equipment possible to get it. I feel as if my hard work is for nothing. I hope you will take into consideration the amount of work it takes to aquire one of these shawls. For it to not be Delivery Boxed makes this addition worthless imo. I beg you to reconsider. I am posting this on the FFXIAH forum for the rest of the community to be made aware of this piece of equipment.
Thank you
Greezy

From what I've read, the Plumb Boots (from gutting Abaia, added presumably at the same time the shawl was) are also not muleable, but there isn't anything particularly special about them that would justify them not being muleable... so it's possible this is just a temporary oversight.

I would liken it to a temporary oversight, Or just not implemented as of yet.

on second thought though, wouldn't that be... idk, bad? you'd have a free shaper's to pass around your mules to skill yourself up at a much faster rate. Sure, it's not like everyone does this, but it'd be completely possible.

Isn't that the point of the item in the 1st place? I mean tbh it should at least have some good use. If you have this much fishing skill but also capped everything on your other crafts with a craft at 110 even, then you get nothing out of it. I would rather it not be as useless as the other skill up items, where you seem more likely to cap half of your skills before the item actually drops, by which point its effect is much less than it would have been because you just killed off half of your goal in the process of getting the thing.

If the item is not worth obtaining, don't spend time or gil on it? Most items in the game outlive their usefullness, and only a few ever see the opportunity to be reused. You could be capped on skill now, but what in the future? How far will SE increase the cap? 120/80 when Seekers of Adoulin is released, so make use of the new drops?

Would you spend that much time on each of your crafting mules for a single item you will get limited use on depending on how high SE wants to make the caps go? I myself, would not.

It's a useless item if it can only be used on 1 character as the time spent acquiring it could be better spent raising the crafting skill in the first place. It needs to be sendable for it to be even worth getting.

That's irrelevant, for the cost/time it takes to get this item it should be able to be passed through mule accounts.

No, this is the point of the cape, to skill up faster. Can I remind you all/most the items to skill up combat/magic skills are passable through the same PoL account.

I don't think anybody's saying it shouldn't be mulable, just that there are plausible reasons why the unmulability might be intended.
You have to admit it's potentially fairly destabilizing inasmuch as the relative exclusivity of ultra-high-level crafting is an intended feature of the game; there's absolutely no way you could fairly compare it to items that speed up combat or magic skills.

Make it AH-able before you make it same account sendable in my opinion.
I would pay 10 million for it no problem if I could just transfer it between my mules.
And why isn't the Destrier Beret same account sendable while we're on the subject?
That's hardly game unbalancing is it?
No wait.. yeah it is actually. Having mules being basically invincible. Haha.. I bought one for my second account in fact.

The average cost for this cape is probably around 60 million, assuming you don't get unlucky. You'd never get it to see for 10 million.

Crafting already has a means of not being exploited in the maximum cap of skill levels, limiting a cape that takes a load of hassle to get to one account, with no use once you've levelled one characters skill is unbelievably poor design.

I believe the item was added with the pure intention of ever raising caps in mind.
